About SIGA
The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority, known as SIGA, was created on June 10, 1995. It was set up under the First Nations Gaming Act. SIGA is a First Nations, non-profit organization that runs 7 casinos in Saskatchewan, including Gold Eagle Casino in North Battleford.
SIGA does not run its casinos alone. That work is done in partnership with Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan, shortened to LGS. Saskatchewan has 9 permanent casinos in all. Of these, 7 are First Nations casinos run by SIGA. Casino Regina and Casino Moose Jaw complete the count.
